Dr. Louis-Olivier Gagnon, an experienced urologist from Quebec, is renowned for his expertise in uro-oncology and his skills in complex surgeries. Dr. Louis-Olivier Gagnon is a urologist originally from the Quebec region. He obtained his doctorate in medicine from Laval University in 2006, then completed his residency in urology at McGill University in 2011. During his last year at McGill, he won the Douglas D. Morehouse award for outstanding resident. He then continued his training by completing a uro-oncology fellowship at the University of British Columbia in 2012, under the supervision of Dr. Martin Gleave, a world-renowned authority in the field. During this training, Dr. Gagnon learned the most advanced techniques in urology, such as laparoscopy and robot-assisted surgery.
For more than 10 years, Dr. Gagnon has been practicing urology in the Quebec region, where he performs a high volume of very complex surgeries, such as cystectomy with ileal reconstruction or nephrectomy. His expertise in urology is recognized by his peers and he is often consulted for difficult or complex cases.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Gagnon is also involved in teaching as a clinical lecturer at Laval University. He thus shares his expertise and his passion for urology with medical students and future urologists. He has also carried out clinical research and published several scientific articles in internationally renowned journals.
Outside of work, Dr. Gagnon likes to take advantage of his free time by practicing various sports and hobbies, including cycling, golf, skiing and playing the piano.
