Why choose a private urology clinic?

A private urologist takes care of his patients quickly and can treat different problems and diseases by performing the necessary procedure at his clinic immediately after the consultation, in the same appointment, to make you regain your well-being without delay.

What is a private urologist?

A urologist in private practice practices urology, evaluating and treating diseases of the urinary tract in both sexes (including the kidneys) and those affecting the genitourinary system in men, but independently of the Quebec public health system.

Dr. Marois’ Cliniques Marois has its own modern and comfortable facilities where patients are welcomed for consultations, examinations and minor surgeries using non-invasive techniques. Our Urologists He performs more complex surgeries or surgeries under general anesthesia at the Montreal Metropolitan Surgical Center, a private hospital; they are . Dr. Marois is the only private urologist in Quebec to whom the Centre reserves operative privileges, offering his patients a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment for maximum efficiency.

What diseases and conditions are treated by our private urologists?

Cliniques Marois offers a wide range of treatments and surgeries to treat various diseases and conditions.

What are the most frequently requested treatments?

A significant portion of our patients consult us for the following treatments.

Vasectomy

This surgery consists of cutting and blocking the vas deferens that carry sperm in order to make the man sterile. After the vasectomy, the man can have full sexual relations without fear of impregnating his partner.
The technique we prefer is the no-surgical one, which can be done in one appointment, immediately after the consultation, to save you precious time.

To have a vasectomy, you must make an appointment at a private clinic, as this minor surgery is not covered by the RAMQ.

Vasovasostomy (vasectomy reversal)

This surgery consists of reversing a vasectomy, i.e. “reconnecting” the vas deferens that were cut during the vasectomy. It is therefore intended for men who have undergone this operation, but who wish to procreate again. The success rate of this surgery is very high and the complication rate is very low.

Vasovasostomy is performed exclusively in private urology clinics and is not covered by the RAMQ.

Penile injection for erectile dysfunction

This painless injection of platelet-rich plasma helps patients achieve and maintain a satisfactory erection throughout their sexual relations, allowing them and their partners to enjoy a healthy and fulfilling sexuality. This solution is suitable for those who have good results with sildenafil (Viagra) and tadalafil (Cialis) as well as for those on whom these drugs do not have the desired effect.

Circumcision

Whether it is for medical reasons, such as a foreskin that is too tight (phimosis), for comfort during sexual relations (to eliminate pain or hypersensitivity) or simply for personal preference, circumcision remains a highly requested surgery.

We regularly perform various types of circumcisions in our clinic, under local anesthesia. Our advanced techniques and the talent of our urologists allow us to offer our patients the most aesthetic results.

The advantages of consulting a urologist in a private clinic

Speed

Unlike the public health system, where waiting lists for specialists are long, private clinics allow you to obtain an appointment very quickly, often within a few days. This is appreciated when there is pain or discomfort or when the problem affects the patient’s self-esteem or mental health.

Direct access without a physician referral

Gone are the days when you had to see a general practitioner first to get an appointment with a specialist! With a private urology clinic like Les Cliniques Marois, you can avoid this step, which causes additional delays and complicates the process.

A comfortable environment

Modern decor, unparalleled cleanliness, comforting waiting rooms, a relaxing atmosphere, attentive staff: in a private clinic, you are sure to be pampered.

Rigorous support

A private clinic offers a much more personalized service than hospitals, which are often too overwhelmed to support patients who are about to undergo or have undergone surgery. A private clinic provides a staff that listens to patients and can answer any questions and reassure them if necessary.
