Dr. Jocelyn Bazinet, Urologist in private practice

Dr. Bazinet, private urologist

Dr. Bazinet is a urologist practicing in a private clinic in the regions of Québec City, Lévis, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Côte-Nord and Beauce. He treats both men and women for various urogenital problems with all the empathy and gentleness he is known for.

Who is Dr. Bazinet?

Dr. Bazinet has a long history in science and medicine. While he began studying dentistry in the 1990s, he later became interested in chemistry, medicine and neurosurgery before embarking on urological surgery, a specialty program at Laval University that he completed in 2005.

Since then, he has been practicing urology on a daily basis, and has expanded his expertise by taking various courses, including hormone therapy (to better treat cancers such as prostate cancer or to treat low testosterone issues), microscopy and transperineal biopsies. He treats not only men for various reasons (erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, vasectomy, various pains in the reproductive system, etc.), but also women (for sexual problems in particular) and children (circumcision).

Involved in his field, he became head of the Department of Urological Surgery for the Chaudière-Appalaches region in 2018, a position he will hold until 2021.

Dr. Bazinet’s competence, professionalism and thoroughness are no longer in question. However, what really sets him apart is his human and empathetic approach to his patients, whom he immediately reassures and puts at ease. Jovial, he always finds the right word to lighten the atmosphere or to have a laugh, when the situation is appropriate.
